Taiwan Nonwoven Fabrics Industry Association Leads Trade Delegation to Investigate Indian Market

To assist Taiwanese nonwoven manufacturers in evaluating investment opportunities in India and to enhance the international visibility of Taiwan’s nonwoven industry, Ms. Chia-Ching Chien, Chairperson of the Taiwan Nonwoven Fabrics Industry Association (TNFIA), led an executive trade and investment delegation to India for a week-long market exploration trip. The delegation comprised leading Taiwanese enterprises, including Shinlifil, Carnation, Motex, Hwayi Shang Deng, Jhih Cheng, Yow Yeu, Wang Jin, and Taiwan Kureha.

Facilitated by Invest India, the official investment promotion agency, the delegation commenced its itinerary on November 6. The group visited Gujarat, a major textile hub, followed by New Delhi to attend Nonwoven Tech Asia 2025. Key meetings were held with the Union Minister of Textiles, as well as state government and industry representatives from Uttar Pradesh and Telangana. Subsequently, the delegation conducted site inspections in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh to identify investment and strategic partnership opportunities across Southern India.
